Journal entry by Kristine Boegh —
Hello all.
Sorry it has been a while since I posted. Hunter has been getting better every day. He went to the bone marrow specialists last Monday. His numbers are staying consistent which is good. He had to do another breathing treatment. This helps prevent any issues with his lungs. He needs to continue to do this treatment until his T cell counts gets to normal which is 400. Right now that number is around 116. It is slowly getting there. The doctor did say it takes about a year for his immune system to get back to normal. We are just grateful that his immune system is improving. He has a slight cough right now but nothing serious. As far as Hunter’s injuries, he is slowly progressing. His wound looks like it is healing like it should, but we will know more if Hunter is on the right path as far as healing goes next week. Our motto through his bone marrow transplant and this accident is “one day at a time”. We are forever grateful for all the love and prayers for Hunter. This has been a rough year for him. We pray that God keeps Hunter close. We know He has a plan for him. Much love! #boeghstrong #livelikebrooks
