Grateful. Thankful. Blessed.
Happy Easter to all of our family and friends and amazing prayer warriors near and far.
Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. I’ve always felt such a deep level of love during this season, knowing that Jesus went through the unthinkable for me.
It had new meaning last year when I realized that whatever happens on this side of Heaven, I will get to spend eternity with Hudson. Because Jesus died for us.
Last year we were in the hospital over Easter. Hudson had just had his 12 hour tumor resection and we were on day 5 in the hospital and day 2 out of the PICU. There are some parts of last year that bring me a lot of pain, but Easter in the hospital is not one of them.
Hudson decorated bunny ears, he made decorations for our room and MSK put on 2 Easter themed meals. Bryan, Hudson and I had our very first hot crossed bun! Haha! We had spent two holidays in the hospital at that time, Christmas first and then Easter. It gave us such a deep gratitude towards the nurses, cooks, cleaning crew, doctors and child life staff that selflessly stepped away from their family and spent Easter with mine. 🤍 I look back at how different Easter was last year for us but one thing I remember is that we were happy.
The feeling of knowing the tomb was empty. He is risen. Just as He said.
I hope you all had a lovely Easter.
We have so many fun things to come as next weekend we celebrate Bryan’s sister getting married to the love of her life! We missed my brother’s wedding last March and Bryan’s brother’s wedding last June so we are praising God for all the things!
Hudson got fitted for his tux on Friday and we cannot wait to celebrate! 💍
So many things to be thankful for in this season of life.
