Dear Hope,
My heart is full of pain and hope as I read your posts. Each time I pray for you. Today, I found myself sick in bed I'm rarely sick). In this condition, I thought of you and what you're going through. As I prayed for you, John and your family, a picture came to mind of the Piano Guys playing beautiful music in a burned out forest.
That is you. You are a beautiful song rising from the midst of ashes. No sweeter praise is there, than from one who suffers. A soul without all the answers, yet still praises the One who loves us most.
We know that a burned out forest rejuvenates and turns into something beautiful once again, even though there are reminders of what had ravaged such a once beautiful place, it becomes once again a beautiful place. That's you.
Hope your entry gives new meaning to John 16:33 that "...Here on earth you will have many trials.." It's hard to read how difficult this is for you. Praying the last part of this verse for you that we all know - "But take heart because I have overcome the world." Praying for your "overcoming"!
Your blogs are really a beautiful testimony! Suggestion for book... A Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp (for the longest time I didn’t read because I thought it was a women’s “fluff” book. But is is absolutely gorgeous! ). A really good TV series, imo, on Amazon Prime, is Poldark. 5 seasons. Interesting story line of mining family in 1700’s Cornwall England. A BBC Masterpiece Theatre.
Blessings and prayers!
Ugh, I wish you didn't have to go through all of this. You are the loveliest, bravest , and strongest woman I know and I feel blessed to know you. You inspire so many and you have so much more to do here on earth. I pray for your longevity every day.
Wow is all that comes to my mind...and then ENDURANCE. You're running the race, Hope, and the Lord IS with you. Audio books are a unique way of "reading"... you might try it!
