Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to help Holly or sent kind words. Her surgery is tomorrow, so please send your best thoughts her way.

 

From Holly: So it's down to the last day of being mobile for a while, and I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed. I've been working on putting my house in order for me to be comfortable for the first few days after coming home from the hospital. I've been lucky that Luke was able to take the first few days off, so I'll have company and help through the weekend, and even more good news, that my Covid-19 test came back negative. 

 
I'm starting to feel the realness of this, finally today. Even if the doctors don't find cancer when they open me up tomorrow, I have a long road of healing to get me back to myself and back to work.
 
I'm super lucky, also, because living in Washington grants me paid leave that I wouldn't have otherwise and because so many wonderful people have already volunteered to help me.
 
Even though I'm scared, I feel so loved and supported.
