Journal entry by Heather Stortz —
With a broken heart and humble acceptance of God’s perfect will, we must announce the passing of Holly Marie Blackwood who peacefully entered fully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Sunday February 21st 2021 at 6:38 pm.
She died peacefully with Mike in the hospice bed alongside her and Iz holding her hand on the other side. Holly’s family was all able to be there over the weekend at the bedside as she transitioned to heaven. She is finally at rest. The 20 month long battle is over. She is now in The Lord’s glorious eternal presence never to experience pain and suffering again.
Revelation 21:4 ESV
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Please join us Saturday February 27th at 1pm at Mountain View Community Church located at 328 Remington St Fort Collins, CO 80524 for a celebration of the beautiful life she lived exemplifying the loving kindness of Jesus Christ. We rejoice knowing that she is now eternally at home in the presence of His glorious light. This will be live-streamed and I have attached the link for the Celebration of Life virtual streaming for Sat at the bottom of this post.
There will be a Scholarship set up in Holly’s name to help youth develop a relationship with Christ through outdoor adventures (backpacking, hiking, etc). We will use any memorial money to help fund this.

Go to: https://memorials.adamsonchapels.com/holly-blackwood/4541298/index.php For more information. Note: This page is still a work in progress. It will include more information as we are able to add it, including her obituary. Instead of buying flowers for the memorial, Holly would rather have folks donate money for the scholarship I mentioned above.
A $25 donation powers a page like Holly's for two weeks.
If you donate by May 12, your gift will be doubled, up to $10,000, thanks to a gift from Living Water Foundation.
