I remember Randall as very kind and funny person. I wrote equipment instruction manuals with him and he is the only person I know of that could make that job fun. I will miss him...he was a good friend.

Well, I just reread my post and I thought I said more so let me add this. Randall Hicks loved to "tinker with things" and make them work once again. Like I said he fixed one of our lamps and we truly were amazed. It wasn't actually "a fix" he totally RESTORED the lamp so now that I have clarified that I want to also mention how determined he was. We have an old Philco record player/radio/short wave, yes indeed it is from the 1940's. Randall decided he wanted to try and find tubes for this wonderful item and he set out on a quest !!! I was overjoyed at the fact that someone took and interest in this amazing piece besides me. Anyhow, he kept after it and found several but not all of the tubes we needed. But that was Randall, quietly determined, focused on whatever had caught his attention. I will remember him and his quiet approach to everything, his ability to share the joy of accomplishments with others, and his definite dedication to God and always in His service.

I am truly thankful to have known him and his remarkable wife Cindy. Their family is a joy and gives my heart happiness all the time. Prayers always for all of them and Randall, I am sure you are looking down watching please know all those you love, all those you helped, and everything you did is appreciated. This family thanks you and I personally thank you for sharing your friendship, talents, time and the example you set by walking a Godly walk.

Randall was such a blessing to our family. He was our friend and always had kind words when we needed them most. Randall also fixed things..he was amazing. He fixed lamps and he never ever thought the job was too small or insignificant. One of the antique lamps he totally restored is a floor lamp from the mid 1920's. The project was challenging but he did not give up. The lamp has 4 light sockets and he rewired the entire lamp. He made it safe and so amazing.

That's how we remember him. He was God centered, loving and determined to get the job done. We miss you Randall however, we will never forget you or your friendship.
