Andre’s Story

Site created on December 4, 2019

Andre is battling appendix cancer, which has spread to other organs in his body.  He had a 13 hour long surgery in February of this year and after 6 week in the hospital he recovered quite well. He became strong enough to even meet his family in Spain and had a wonderful time. In September we found our that the cancer had metastasized into his liver and spine. This fall has been certainly rough between excruciating pain and receiving radiology to shrink the tumor in his spine.   He has spent several weeks recently in Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore, and undergone some difficult procedures.  He is at home now, recovering and gaining strength. He just got his first session of the more aggressive chemotherapy today Monday the 30th day of December.
He us tired and needs to stay hydrated. Andre is a fighter and a great patient.  We are positive and very hopeful but we can’t forget how terrible this illness really is. Please continue to pray for him.

Our beloved Andre passed away today.  Here are the words from Marga from her Facebook page.

My loving Andre ended his suffering on this earth today at 1:05 pm. Cancer finally lost its battle as he will forever live in our hearts and his legacy will continue for years to come. He was loved and respected by all who had the honor to meet him. He was a man of incredible dignity, outstanding talent and formidable and humble disposition. My heart is broken and I feel immensely sad but he died in my arms and smiled at me as he gave his last breath and I feel blessed because of that. I am grateful I got to spend so many years with him. He loved me, he made me laugh and he also made me a better person. My sweet love is at peace now watching over us and doing what he liked to do best, sing and delight those around him with his incredible voice. I will love you forever my sweet baby.
