Grateful for our Prayer Warriors

It has been awhile since we posted an update, so I thought it was a good time to let our friends and family know where we are on this journey.

God is so good and has blessed us tremendously with continued stabilization in the progress of our little mama's disease. She has certainly bounced back for the time being to a new baseline for now.

Mom's vitals seem stable at this time. She is still very pale and has swelling in her right foot (there was swelling before her last episode as well). She wears the O2 intermittently for comfort, but don't like it, so continues to pull it off when Nursing staff apply.

This last week has been a busy one for her with a surprise visit from her sister Ethel to whom she has a special bond as evidenced by the attached photo of their visit. Her niece Mattie and great-niece Emily. I took little JJ with me yesterday during lunch and she rubbed his face so gently and tried to hold his hand. Again, I heard the laughter come from her throat with no facial expressions.  It  definitely is a special moment to see her reaction to the baby. Mama always loved the babies. Us girls, daddy, and her grandchildren continue to visit on a daily basis to cover her lunch or dinner and somedays one or two of us are there during both her meal times.

She doesn't interact a lot with us, only patting our arms and hands, a yeah or no on occasion when we are asking her questions, starting a sentence with a few words and ending it jumbled making it hard to understand, and she has started pinching us again LOL.  These are her ways of communicating with us.

I am thankful for all you prayer warriors that have lifted mom up during this time. God definitely has her in his hands and plans. Thank you for your continued prayers and support for her family.  We are grateful for each and everyone of you!
