Journal entry by Helen Berliner —
So sorry I have not updated in a while. I am progressing well with the kidney transplant, I am healing and feeling good. Amy is also doing very well since the surgery.
As as far as my back issue, I had an epidural steroid spinal injection towards the end of November, it took almost a week but I finally got relief from the severe pain. At that time we realized my leg muscles had atrophied and I could barely walk. I started physical therapy the end of November. I am still going to PT, I have graduated from the walker to a cane and I get stronger each day. It has been quite a challenge but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you you all for your continued prayers, good thoughts and love. I am definitely feeling the good vibes!! Hopefully my next update will be to tell you I am fully healed and have given up the cane. I thank the Good Lord for guiding me through this challenge and I know I will continue to improve.
Shalom,
helen
