Although we have never met, I have kept up with Heidi and her transplant journey over the years. I just came to the page to check in and was so sad to hear the news that Heidi had passed. Heidi was the recipient of my sister Angie’s lungs in January of 2008 and I am so happy that they served her well for over 14 years. It always meant a lot to my family that Angie was honored and remembered for her gift of life. Thank you for that. I just envision Angie and Heidi meeting in heaven-whole and healthy. I’m thankful Angie was able to give you 14 extra years with your precious wife, daughter, and friend. She seemed like an amazing person. I’m so sorry.
