Heidi’s Story

Site created on September 30, 2018

Heidi is my granddaughter.  I am starting this Page to keep everyone updated on her condition.   Heidi has a very long road to recovery.  Heidi is 21 years old.  Fun out going girl.   Yes some that know her, she has made some bad choices the last couple of years.  But she believe in God.  And was forgiven of her sins before she was put on life support.  I told her after the priest left, "Heidi you have been forgiven of all your sins."  She said, " I felt a weight off my shoulder".  She was in and out of  consciousness.  So I was so happy that she heard and understood the priest.   I believe we all make mistakes, but she is young and has her whole like ahead of her.  So I hope all will come together and pray for Heidi.  We as a family  believe in the power of prayer.  The doctors believe there is hope so we need all the prayers and prayer chains to continue.  We are now in UC Davis Hospital in Sacramento Ca.  2315 Stockton Blvd.  Sacramento Ca. 95817  Floor 7 University tower MSICU BLUE.  Please send cards and let Heidi know y'all are thinking of her.  We can decorate her room.

Heidi has a large infection that is around her right side of her heart that goes to her lungs.  Its called Endocarditis.  As Heidi breaths it breaks particles off and they go into her body and lungs.  this has spred through her blood and body.  Her liver is also very damaged.  Her Kidneys are not working today.  Heidi is in shock, and has sepsis.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Marilyn Irvin

Hi Everyone,

I know it has been a while since I have been on here.  But I would like to update everyone on how Heidi is doing.  She is doing very well.  Her health is doing great.  She is gaining weight. Yeah!!  She also went for her first interview and got a job.  Yeah she is so happy.  The job is working a at a little restaurant.  She has been there for almost a week. This morning she had an interview at Starbucks at 5 am.  She got hired there for full time with benifits. Yeah for Heidi. We want to thank you all for your prayers and support for Heidi.
