I am also sad and scared and my heart is full. ❤️ This is an out of body experience, in that the person who is usually in my body popped like a worn-out light bulb on Tuesday night and was replaced by someone from the Holy Spirit's temp agency. I don't know who this guy is. He already has more friends around the office than the last guy did.

All my life, and particularly as a preacher's kid, I watch people deal with situations like this and I've secretly thought, "OH, GOD, I DON'T EVER WANT TO BE IN A SITUATION LIKE THAT BECAUSE I CANNOT/WILL NOT HANDLE IT. I WILL BE A DANGER TO MYSELF AND OTHERS." But, here we are – and God (who *theological diversion* I do not at all believe causes these things to happen) showed up like some sort of old-timey boxing coach, sat me on a stool in the corner of the canvas, smacked me about the face with a cold sponge and said "HANDLE IT, DAMN IT." (I'm paraphrasing, of course.)

The point is that anyone can do this. Even if you don't believe in God, you can do this. But LORDAMERCY believing in God makes it a lot easier.
