Journal entry by Lexis Funk

Praise Jesus, thanking my friend Gail for her advice of using a warm/moist pack to prep the veins and for my friend Kim at Smoothie King for my “MRI pregame smoothie” 😘
Yesterday the tech was able to get the IV in, no problems. If you’ve never had an MRI, they have to immobilize the part being imaged. In my case- my head. The tech put the foam wedge in just the right WRONG place. After nearly 40 min, the MRI was done and I ripped that foam out from the cage my head was in, before they pulled me out my head and neck hurt the rest of the day. I won’t let that happen again, they give me a panic button for a reason.
Lots of NO’s. No evidence of recent hemorrhaging, no cavalrial abnormality, no new modular enhancement, NO EVIDENCE OF PROGRESSION. We are still waiting and watching a “flair” on the right side (straight from radiology results) previously described slightly increased masslike nonenhancing FLAIR hyperintensity at the periventricular white matter at the right frontal horn on axial FLAIR.  This showed in the last MRI done in November, Dr. Stavas said it could be radiation narcosis. The brain can only take so much radiation. Thank you Jesus for new machines that can radiate a pin point site, which used to be the entire head.  With this being Holy Week, my hope for you, who are reading this, see the Grace of God in my life.
The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." Deuteronomy 31:8

Thanking God for more time! Praying that I manage the medical bills with the money God has provided.
Pray for the wedding trip to Rocky Mountain National Park goes well and that Lexis & Travis are blessed with a happy marriage. Pray for Vanessa, as she is working on her health and dealing with migraines without the medication that was working for her (insurance coverage issues).
MY MRI SAYS IM GROSSLY NORMAL!
