Journal entry by Annie Christensen

Good week this last week.

Got the kids into school this week. Figured out the school bus pick up/drop off spot in their area.  Cleaned house did lots of laundry. Packed up some of Heather’s antiques, handbags and shoes (just to get them out of the way). She was reselling antique glass, teapots and fancy handbags and shoes on Etsy and eBay.  She was using the dining room as her workspace, So I wrapped all the breakables and put stuff into Rubbermaid’s. They have a nice storage room inside their garage. So I stashed all that good stuff in that storage room.  I hope I helped manage some of the house stuff. and getting the kids squared away in school was a priority.  I got them a bunch of school clothes too. They are set. It was nice to see them come off the bus with smiles and a bit of joking around.  Teenage stuff. They needed that.

Alan is bringing me to the airport in Scranton/Wilkes Barre ( I still cannot say it the PA way).

Heather is doing so well. Getting stronger each day with walking. She still has a bit of swelling in the brain but they have her on some steroids to help get that to go down.

Every now and then Heather might start crying out of no where, feeling sad and not knowing why. But it passes and she shakes it off. But that is part of brain injury.  This will get better with time.

She is doing her transfers from a wheelchair to the toilet with one person helping. Last week she needed two people to help. This progress is wonderful. She is strong and I would bet money that she will keep making this progress each week.

Thank you for all the support!!!!

Heather has been posting on Facebook.  Please keep up your kind words and cheerleading for her.
