Journal entry by Kayla Werth

3 years ago this very day Codi and I sat in a hospital room and were told our daughter has cancer. I literally puked instantly. It was the worst feeling in the entire world. She has been through so much and hasn’t let it get her down. Today will always be a day where we celebrate Haylee and how far she has come. We are incredibly blessed!!

Today our hearts are also heavy as we remember those kiddos that have lost their battles recently, the kiddos and families that are running out of treatment options, the ones still in the fight, and the ones in remission facing long term effects of chemo. Our hearts are with the warrior parents that live with PTSD and crippling anxiety due to childhood cancer. We see you and you are not alone.

In honor of Haylee’s 3 year cancer-versary, would you consider donating just $3 to Ava's Army for pediatric leukemia research? It would mean the world to us!
