Hardy health update: This info is going to family and friends who wanted to stay updated. 2FEB21 Routine screening chest scan 3FEB Call from VA Doctor Scheid that a 7x4x8 CM mass was detected during scan, probably cancer 3FEB Tried to schedule biopsy, told that VA would call when they had a person available to schedule Scheduled visit with private Pulmonologist 12FEB visit Dr Sineway, sched PET scan 17FEB12FEB VA called to say we could schedule biopsy for 4MAR 24FEB Dr Sineway says no spread of cancer to lymph nodes or other areas, surgery good option Pulmonary Function Test showed 2 of 3 areas OK, one PFT area at 25%, Dr Sineway thought an anomaly and rescheduled PFT again that day…still low 2MAR Referred to Dr Fritz, surgeon, concerned with PFT resultsRetook PFT, results up to 60% 2MAR Cancelled VA biopsy 4MAR VA blood work, VA took picture of suspected cancer on elbow 8MAR Oncologist Dr Sakar referred by Dr Sineway. He and Dr Fritz consulted and decided that initial treatment should be radiology and Chemotherapy. Scheduled Telemed conference for Thursday for radiology and CT with contrast for 10MAR. Chemo to start 17MAR, Brain scan sched for 22MAR 9MAR VA called to schedule biopsy of elbow for 11JUN

My radiation therapy starts tomorrow April 6. I've had a brain scan which showed there was no Metastasization of the lung cancer, but they did discover a small brain tumour. After 3 chemotherapy treatments about the only thing I notice is that I'm a little light headed all the time and my voice has gone up a couple of notes. Other than that I feel pretty good. I have a tee time at 8 o'clock here in Alabama. I will let you know how I really feel after that.
