Update on Happy from Marty:

Friends, many of you have asked so I want to let you know what has happened to my brother Happy these last 6 months. He began having some severe medical issues with his liver transplant back in September. After traveling back and forth to UAB four times, on Thanksgiving Day he was sent home with no clear plan of action and doctors that could not figure out why his liver was giving him trouble. This has been very hard to accept and so he was planning on coming to Atlanta this week and getting a second option from a specialist here.

But two weeks ago Hap suffered a severe and debilitating stroke that has left him very weak and of course unable to travel. He has been in the great care of doctors at Thomas Hospital and on Wednesday they moved him to the LTAC unit at the Mobile Infirmary. He is receiving wonderful care here and much needed PT and OT.

Happy has been surrounded constantly by all of our family and so many dear friends who have visited. We appreciate your love and concern and covet your prayers. We rest in the knowledge that God is in control and HE has Happy in His hands!

Psalm 91:1-2 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of The Almighty. I will say of The Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. “
