Journal entry by Kelly Kluesner —
Unfortunately, Joe's journey came to an end on Sunday, January 27th. He was tired of the pain and suffering and truly gave it his all. He never complained. He kept a positive attitude until the very end. On Sunday he looked at me for the first time with "I'm sorry, but I can't continue like this." He never said it out loud, but it was the first time I had seen it in his eyes. The pain was too great. No one should have to endure what he went through. What we went through....
He was tired and ready to start his new journey. Unfortunately we are left behind to pick up the pieces...but he is getting a head start... and paving the way for us to follow.
Say Hi to Dad and Pop.... keep those 2 out of trouble.... who am I kidding... you will be leading the pack. 😉 [LYM]
