Newest Update

Journal entry by Erinn Johnson

Again, I know you have not heard from me in a a while. Hanna is great and everything is ok. I am compelled to recognize this date. On July 18th 2019, Hanna was told by her doctors she was officially in remission. She has been cancer free for a year!!!

She has experienced things in this past year that none of us will ever or should ever have to endure.  Yet she still is as positive as ever and now has hair to prove she made it to the other side of treatment. She still has an other year of treatment left but she will kick cancers butt!!!!

She made it through the school year with a GPA higher than 3.7, even after missing 3 months of school and she received two academic awards. She is back to dance and participating in captain’s practices and volleyball workouts, all of which are sometimes a struggle, but she gets through it.  She is driving her car to and from dance and volleyball and visits with friends occasionally , social distancing, of course, and painting as much as she can. Her life is normal as “normal” can be these days.

Congratulations Hanna on getting to this one year milestone!!!!!  You are my hero!!!
