Newest Update

Journal entry by Susan Bernhardt

In a day of insanity it seems, I will share some good news!  Hannah is done with radiation!  Treatments are over.  She will have a PET scan in 3-6 months.

That’s the best news today!  She is still having issues with her heart and hot flashes.  Hopefully those will dissipate over time.

So something she found out that is more difficult for her is that she still has to be careful and she cannot travel anywhere until likely mid-May.  She is still immunocompromised due to the cocktail of drugs she received for chemo.  It’s hard.  She wants to be able to see people and be herself, look like herself again.  She’s been very fortunate as she did not get ill enough for hospital stays during treatment and we don’t want to compromise that now.  Sarah will have to quarantine once she gets home until she gets results of a COVID test.

I know eventually she will move farther away from this difficult time of her life.  It was hard to see her so sad on such a wonderful day.

Thank you for all the support!!
