Rita’s Story

Site created on February 22, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

For those who do not know or have not been updated this site will help keep you informed so as to ease the burden on family. The information following is what we know as of Feb. 26.

Rita was taken to the hospital Monday, February 19 after being found immobile and barely responsive that morning. A CT scan of her brain showed a mass on the frontal left lobe, and an MRI scan showed more smaller masses located in different areas of the brain. A second CT scan of her torso, abdomen, and pelvis showed no other abnormalities. She was taken to Kalispell the following day where she underwent a biopsy of the mass to determine what it was. After spending the next few days in the hospital receiving physical and speech therapy, it was determined the mass was a  cancerous tumor.  As of right now that is all the information we can share. We will be updating the journal as we move forward and that is where any additional information can be found.

Rita and her family appreciate the love and support they have received through this hardship and ask for continued prayer and support.  We also ask for the appropriate respect and privacy. Please contact Jalen with any questions and he will do his best to answer.

Thank you and God bless.
