Newest Update

Journal entry by Brent Ellingson

Update, on Tuesday she was finally done with her Dex, which is a steroid that gives her multiple personalities (not really but certainly feels that way, wild mood swings) and had her fourth chemo treatment on Wednesday.
Her levels were low so they wanted us to stay in town until Friday, check her again and possibly get to go home for the weekend. It's bitter sweet but have to come back Monday for more blood draws and chemo on Wednesday... I'm thinking this will be a pattern for a while.
Wednesday was a nightmare in that I thought it was going to be a 30 chemo blast and back home to rest.
Turns out people at a cancer ward need medicine...lots of it!
Who'd of thunk.
After 8 hrs of sitting we were able to come back to Carmel and Brian house (the wonderful uncle and Aunt letting us shack up with them for the family and friends discounted rate).
I checked her temp and it was a balmy 102...panic mode! About to go into the hospital at 2 AM when I thought I should call. Doc talked me down enough to realize I checked the ear she was laying on, 99 in the other.
Stayed up most of the night freaked out and checking repeatedly but never consistently broke a hundred on either ear.
One exhausted fella today.

Love you all and thank you for being on is journey with me.

-Brent
