Journal entry by Liz Danielski —
Gwyn's doctors have determined that the side effects of her current course of treatment are counter-productive to long term healing. This has been a painful waiting game to test if her body could adjust to the medication; however, there is a clear need for change. So the doctors have temporarily pulled her from direct treatment, giving her body a rest, before trying a new prescription. In the meantime, she also underwent an exhausting osteoporosis prevention regimen, as the risk of this disease increases with breast cancer and its treatment. Gwyn feels blessed by the care and attention that Dennis has afforded her during this trying time, and grateful for brief, socially-distant visits from her local children, David and Joy; sometimes with delicious meals delivered by daughter-in-law, Samantha. Bay Area daughter, Liz, calls frequently to check in. :)
As always, we covet your prayers on this journey.
