Gwen’s Sequoia neighbors send much love to you. How very beautiful that you could be together at the very end. Gwen was a tenacious and strong woman who was dearly loved.

Tori, Julia and Lydia, I have shared this news with Macy and Reed and we have all cried and reminisced about our times together. We are heart broken. Your mother is one of a kind. She loved you more than anything and pushed and protected you. We all love you and just want you to know we are thinking of you and praying for you all.

Tori, Julia & Lydia- so sad to learn of your Mom’s death. Although it’s been many years since our paths have crossed, I have the fondest memories of your Mom and how she took care of her girls! She was so proud of you each- rightfully so. You are in my prayers with the loss of your biggest cheerleader. Love to all, Robin Roach (Anna’s Mom)

To Gwen’s wonderful family,

I worked with your mom at the city of memphis and one day she approached me with a request that I didn’t think I could meet.. but I tried and it worked out thanks to the Orpheum staff. The request was for the performer on stage to send a happy birthday message to her twins during her concert. And she did!!!

Gwen always put her girls first.

And , the room lit up when she walked in with her smile and dancing eyes. I was always in awe of Gwen and her strength and I am even more so now.

I’ve had many cries today over her passing. Her strength and love for life is a testimony of life.

Gwen and I have known each other a long time. Our birthdays were only a few days apart. Our parents are very good friends. Gwen and I ran on the track team together. We hung out together at Latrobe CC and in Latrobe. We lived in DC after college was over and she helped me out a lot to get adjusted to the city. We ran together. We both had twins! She stayed in touch on Facebook. I had the opportunity to attend our high school reunion with her. I visited her mom with her at their house on that trip and she was so thankful. This news has been hard. I sent her a fuzzy blanket that I am so glad she embraced herself in. I have been sad today. But at the same time I feel blessed to have known Gwen. Love and prayers being sent to all of the Hewitts and Gwen’s children and family from Jill Currie Reeves.

I am so sorry that Gwen has lost the fight she so valiantly fought for so long. She will be so missed in this world by all who knew her. But the loss on this earth will be Heaven's gain.
