Journal entry by Guy Van Ort

It's been about 6 weeks since my last post.  My last chemo treatment was 11/5.  I had started on Lyrica for the neuropathy pain and have had low platelets for the past month and haven't been able to have the chemo treatment.  My oncologist decided to go ahead and have a PET scan done anyway.

Had positive results today on my PET scan. Doctor is very pleased with progress. He wants to do 4 more rounds of chemo and then another PET scan. Lyrica for neuropathy has not only been causing almost daily nausea (in my opinion - it's the only thing that has changed), it's been keeping my platelets too low for chemo. Since the Lyrica hasn't helped at all on the neuropathy pain, we decided to stop it today. Fingers crossed my platelets are above 100 in two weeks. Next chemo treatment 12/31 (if platelets are above 100) and then every two weeks for 4 times.

I'm looking forward to great results in 2020!
