I am so thankful that I could watch the memorial live from home in California. It was just so beautiful. You could feel the love coming thru my computer screen. Guy Blair will always be etched in my memory in that timeless and shiny green MARCHING DUTCH jacket. I feel blessed to have been a part of such a rich musical dynasty at PHS, with your dad at the helm encouraging (and demanding) excellence. As someone said yesterday, “winning at music”, and win we did. Race well run, GB.

Jane, Brenna, and Lindsy, I feel truly blessed to have known Guy. He was not only an inspiring teacher, but a close family friend. He was a dear friend to my dad and was always there for him. I have many fond memories of them together. It was the Kirschman, Lucas and Blair trio when they did musicals. But, what I remember most about my high school years was my time with the marching band. Guy taught me more than just music, he taught me determination, and confidence. He was one of those teachers who truly made a difference in the lives he touched. I know, because he touched my life. And I will be forever grateful. He will live on in our hearts. My love goes to his family, that you will find peace during this time. -
