Fishing opener came and my Dad was on my mind, as he is every day, all day. 
I found this picture he took at his last trip to Lake Campbell, where he fished often over the years, north of Bemidji off of Pioneer Resort.  Dad wasn't taking very many pictures after this one he took last August.  A few here and there, tapering down as the cancer sped up and setback mounted. 

I think of how blessed we were that we did not have to try and keep him alive during COVID19 or have a funeral service during the pandemic. 

I think about blessings when you don't know they are there till weeks or months later. 

I think about how he often took these morning fishing pictures, with his best friend Peter in the shot. 

How he must have found peace in all that nature when he was out on that still lake, sun shining, the trees and sky reflecting back the beauty to heaven.
