SEE PICTURE! GREG HAS A DONOR! God is so good! He does answer prayers! We are beyond thankful and so, so blessed by Him! If all goes well, he could be looking at a transplant as early as late September or early October. This would be wonderful as his overall health continues to decline due to the daily dialysis. He is constantly weak and light-headed and his weight is down to 129 lbs!
Your continued thoughts and prayers, as always, are welcomed and greatly appreciated! Now we are focusing on our fund-raising for out-of-pocket expenses - not only medical bills, but food and lodging as Greg will have to stay in Augusta near the hospital for the first week or two after he is released from the hospital after transplant for follow-up visits and close monitoring to make sure there is no issue with rejection. Once he is clear to come home, he will still have monthly trips back to August for the first 6-9 months following surgery and if all of that goes well, he can then resort to annual visits/check-ups.
