Greg’s Story

Site created on August 8, 2021

Greg received his double lung transplant on his birthday, August 7, 2021 at the UW Medical Center in Seattle.

This site will be where the family posts updates and news as it arrives. We will also post ways you can support Greg and JeNeil in this process, he has a long road of recovery ahead of him.

We ask that you refrain from texting or calling JeNeil directly at this time to allow her to focus and being present with Greg.

In the meantime, please keep the prayers and love coming! They need it.

We ask that you continue to pray for the donor’s family, Greg’s recovery, and for the medical professionals overseeing his care!

Chad, Chris, Steph and Scott are happy to field any questions you might have. :)

Much Love!

Journal entry by JeNeil Devlin-Grace

Back in Seattle for Greg’s  8 month check up.  Just finished with blood work, chest X-ray, lung function tests, CT, and met with Dr. His check up went really well.  His lung function nearly to Sept 1 last year.  It should continue to improve for the next 6-10 months.  There is no sign of pseudomonas but will continue antibiotics for two more weeks.  No reading on CMV virus as blood tests not back yet.  They  have a treatment plan.  He got an injection that is 98% effective in preventing covid hospitalization called evescheldt (sp?).  contains antibodies from both covid strains.  CT of lungs is great with airway restriction near normal size.  His next visit 3 months out!  We are doing a happy dance!💕🙏🏻 He is feeling stronger, gaining some weight,  and has a spring in his step!  We are headed to see the tulips this afternoon with Steve and Ilene. Today is a great day! Thank you all for continued prayers for Greg!!!
