Journal entry by Kristi Diffor —
As we bring in 2021, I thought one (likely) last update on Greg was appropriate. Greg’s overall health has come a long way from a year ago January. Much of his strength and weight have been regained, but his lungs continue to be a hindrance to his recovery. In early 2021, he will have a CT scan to give the doctors a better understanding of why there’s still a problem. Taking a full breath of air is still not possible, mornings and evenings he often has coughing “fits” to varying degrees and his lungs don’t efficiently exchange carbon dioxide and oxygen. Greg will also most likely have surgery to repair damage to his vocal cords. His patience with the process is amazing and he takes it in stride, without complaining. My admiration for this man I’m privileged to call husband has deepened as I’ve watched his quiet strength and resilience throughout this year!
Our family has been blessed by the love, encouragement and support we have received in 2020. We are so thankful for all of you! Recently Greg was asked to share what he has learned in 2020 for our church family. I thought you might like to hear it also. You’ll find it linked below.
May you know the great blessing of hope that God offers and rest assured in His deep and steadfast love!
