Rebecca - You are a gifted writer. I love to read your updates as they feel like poetry. Grace gets prayed for every day in our house. Ed, Trey, and I pray for her together daily (sometimes more than once as we pray for her during our mealtime). I know something beautiful will come of this season of her life (and yours for that matter). Your description of the scar resonates with me. I have never worried so much about something as Trey's scar down the middle of his chest after his open heart surgery. I also understand the worry of the long-term affects of this illness. As you know Trey, will have a lifetime of health care needed. I also worry about his spouse and pray daily for someone who will love him unconditionally. I completely understand. What I have come to realize is the beauty in all of it. Just like you described. The heartache, the pain, the worry...they all mold you in a way that brings an unexplained compassion for others. You will be marching on the side of God's Righteousness as this will mold you and everyone in your household to have a deep love for people who are suffering, and that's what God wants of us. That scar will one day be her badge of honor. That worry will one day remind you that God takes care of everything, because you will be able to check off all the ways He took care of every single worry. The spouse...I have no doubt this journey is taking Grace to the man of her dreams. I truly believe you will be able to connect this time to how she met her 'perfect mate'. I know beauty is on its way. I know the sun will shine again. I know God loves each of you deeply. I am looking forward to the day we can all celebrate her healing and look back on the beauty of it all.

---We love you guys!

Thank you for this update, Rebecca. Of course, it is not what we hoped to hear but it gives us a better avenue for prayer. Thanks, also, for including news about your mom. We love Grace and your family.
