Grace’s Story

Site created on April 24, 2019

Creative, hilarious, serious, musical, sassy, intelligent, loving - just a few words that describe this teenage girl from Baroda, Michigan.  On April 13, 2019, this amazing young woman was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  While our hearts were in pain, Grace took the news like a warrior, with many questions for doctors, nurses, Doug, Madie, and myself.   After the initial diagnosis, Grace's treatments began immediately.   She continues to be inquisitive  and wants to be informed of every procedure and test. Grace's journey will be a long one, with weekly chemotherapy treatments for the next one to two years.  (Procedures Grace has already undergone: 4 rounds of dialysis, multiple scans of several organs, including her heart, spinal tap chemotherapy, IV chemotherapy, platelet transfusions, port placement.) . Please keep Grace and our entire family in your prayers.  #AmazingGrace #GraceTheFighter
