Journal entry by David Friedman —
Hello all and thanks for participating :)
You recall that Gloria had brain surgery a little over a year ago to remove a cancerous tumor. Well about a month ago she felt wrong and went to the hospital and it was determined that there was swelling and something going on in that same area.
Of course the concern is that the cancer has returned but the latest MRI's seem to point to a less-scary phenomenon called necrosis. A side-effect of radiation, necrosis if the presence of dead cells that can emulate a tumor and can cause pressure like a tumor.
It appears that the Dr's are confident this is the case and no further treatment will be necessary, unless it grows to become interference - likely symptoms of that are motor skills issues, headaches, dizziness etc.
Since Gloria is not experiencing any of these she is in good shape :)
Still in great spirits and seemingly invincible, thats our friend.
