Friends & Family,
Dad seems to really have an appetite and his helpers are making sure he's getting strained soup and other nutrients with a small sponge on a stick.
We are hopeful that we can get a speech therapist out some time this week to help him communicate to us his wants and needs. I'm grateful God has given us resources that are loving and desire to help him in every way possible. He really got a little energy when a new aide stopped by yesterday that I think he thought was quite cute!😂
He loves when a friend stops by for a brief visit or Face Time call. Very frustrating not being able to speak but still tries to communicate with his eyes and a lil smile. He seems to really light up when a family member comes in the room to love on him and play with him a little.
We so appreciate everyone's prayers and support. Difficult to do much else but supervise and love on him as much as possible. Trying to eat healthy and keep us physically, emotionally and spiritually to be able to give all we can. Special shout out and thanks to the Ferguson's for the cake that we were able to puree and give some to Dad. He loved it!😍
Taking everything one day at a time and praying for God's will and guidance. 🙏
