Glenn’s Story

Site created on November 28, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website! We are using it to keep family and friends updated on Glenn’s recovery in one place. On Saturday November 21, Glenn developed an acute neurological syndrome compromising his ability to feel and move his legs. This syndrome was caused by a herniated intervertebral disc in his back and he underwent emergency spinal surgery on 11/21/20 to decompress the spine. His doctors have told him he has a long road to regain feeling and function in his legs. We appreciate your prayer, support, and words of hope and encouragement on this journey. Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Rhonda Dixon

Happy New Year!  I came home on December 17th and was able to spend Christmas at home with 2 of my children and their families!  What a blessing.  I have been able to be weaned from the strong pain meds and I have some sharp shooting pains to my toes that could be a positive indication. I start formal PT and OT this week, and hope to make progress there.  Thanks for sending your support and prayers to us!
God Bless
Glenn
