Kristin, thank you sooo much for fighting by your dads side these last few months till his last breath! He would be so proud of you and Jennifer! His family was his pride and joy! Julie, thank you for standing by him all of these years! Kristin, please don’t let this take away your God given gift of nursing! When God calls us home, there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. Use this experience to drive you even more to be your patient’s advocate. To understand the sadness and frustrations of your patient’s family members. To be diligent in your reports to the doctors. I too decided not to pursue nursing after the death of both my grandmothers. That did not change God using me to take care of my parents and friends for years. If it is your calling, you will never be happy doing anything else. I love all of you and and am praying for God to wrap his loving arms around you!
