Hello everyone! Thank you for all your well wishes and support since my accident. I apologize for not getting an update out sooner. The recovery from my second pelvis surgery was significantly more difficult than anticipated. It required an eight day hospital stay and ten day stay at the rehab center. I am extremely grateful to my wife, mother, sister, godmother, and mother-in-law for caring for me during my recovery. They gave me so much comfort during the more difficult times. Because of the corona virus, the rehab center was starting to go into lockdown when I left on Friday, March 13. So I am very happy to be home now with Kara and Booker. My nurse practioner at rehab recommended that I return to work because the increased movement and meaningful purpose would improve my recovery. Unfortunately the Gardens have now closed to the public and most of the staff are working from home. Soon I’ll start to work a few hours from home and gradually increase my hours until I am working full time again. I am grateful to have healed enough to be able to work and I am excited to focus on some work projects again. Thankfully I can work from home during this crisis, because Kara has been temporarily laid off. Her bakery mainly serves cafes, restaurants, and hotels, so there are no orders coming in now. These sure are crazy and scary times for the world. We wish you all the best and hope you stay healthy during this pandemic.
