George: Your old Sunny Hollow and SJU buddy here, Tim Gallagher. I am really late to this game, but recently heard about your situation. Our prayers are certainly with you as you continue to battle like a champion. It sounds like you are fighting this like the hero in what you listed as your favorite book in our first class at SJU: Jack Tatum: They Call Me The Assassin.
Well Jack, go get em'! Would love to reconnect with you and Mary. Gals

We are so thrilled to have you in the halls again! This school loves the both of you so much—both educators I hold in high esteem. I’m so happy to see you having more energy and only hope this will be a story you can tell your great-grandkids one day.

Dear George and Mary and family,
It sure was a beautiful entry George. You guide us next to you on this journey to recovery. It’s enlightening that you are able to be receiving your vaccinations. These are so important to protect you. Thank goodness for your expert care with your medical team at Mayo.
We love you and you are amazing. Barb and Mike

Gratitude for the great news and for your incredible ability To articulate your experiences and share appreciation for Mayo and modern science.
You and Mary are making lemonade, and embracing the gift of your diagnosis; daily gratitude for what you DO have… a conscious acknowledgement for today and for the gifts of feeling healthy in the moment and finding joy in everyday things often taken for granted.
Years and years from now, I believe that you and Mary will be able to look back at this time, this incredible time in which we are living.. where medical advancements make your diagnosis a journey you can overcome…. And through all the struggles …. See that it just might have also been a strange gift….. to just maybe gain superpowers to live in the moment, with mindful gratitude…. Every day. Few people get to embrace that chance.
