Sending lots of love and prayers that the surgery goes well and he can regain the use of his left arm. It's sad that there will have to be more surgeries, but if they are successful, then all will be worth it. I'm sure he's so sick of hospitals and surgeries, so I hope he'll soon be able to put them behind him and carry on with his other therapies.
