Journal entry by Theresa Jensen

George had to have another surgery today to remove infected tissue from his leg.  The doctor said he was able to remove quite a bit of infection, so it was a good thing he did the surgery.  George will probably be on IV antibiotics for the next couple of months.  Hopefully, he will not need a follow-up surgery, but that remains to be seen.
He is really missing home and the life he had prior to the accident. He doesn't even remember going out for a ride that night.  He just woke up with his life profoundly altered.   He has already endured so much, and the road back to mobility is long. Please pray that he is able to sustain his will to recover throughout the coming weeks and months.
As soon as he is back at Bryn Mawr Rehab I will post his mailing address.  I'm sure he would love to get some messages from everyone, and he isn't able to be on electronics yet.  It would be great for him to get some personal notes and cards.
As always, thank you so much for everything: the prayers, well-wishes, meals, encouragement, gift cards,  rides for Connor etc.  I will never be able to express how much we appreciate everything.
