Dear Loved Ones,

As many of you know on 1/27/19, our fearless captain and coach, George Dehney, was diagnosed with a 4x4 cm parietal brain mass. Just three days later, George underwent brain surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital where the tumor was successfully removed.

2/1/19 Returning home a few days later, George and Aimee were welcomed by a myriad of friend, family, crews (cleaning, construction, catering), and a loving, hopeful community of believers.

2/3/19 While waiting for biopsy results from the removed tumor, there was life to be lived and a Super Bowl to be won! According to doctor’s orders, George was told to continue to heal after the surgery and not exert too much energy. Brady got the heads up and immediately responded with a definitive win … without too much stress. Go Pats!!!

2/8/19 Days later, the high from the win took a swift turn as partial pathology results revealed that the tumor is a Grade IV Glioblastoma. In plain terms - brain cancer. This particular cancer is very aggressive and currently incurable; however we believe in miracles! And we also believe in the world-class medical care George is receiving at Hopkins.

2/12/19 It was a tough visit back at Hopkins. George had his staples removed and his doctor put plans in place. With additional pathology pending, the current plan is for George to undergo a standard of radiation treatment and oral chemo, starting within the next few weeks. More will be revealed as new developments unfold in the coming days.

2/14/19 George is in good spirits and recovering very well from his surgery. As always, his zest for life is contagious. A dreamer and a doer, he’s busy making plans with the family. George is a fighter and will persevere. Together, Aimee, Tommy, Gracie, and George are forging ahead confidently. As the saying goes: "We're the Dehney's for crying out loud!"

HOW TO BEST SUPPORT GEORGE

The support system of the Dehney/Curry Families spreads far and wide, and includes every person reading and sharing this information. Many have asked how they can help. Prayers are first and foremost. As Aimee has stated on several occasions these past two weeks, divine Providence continues to provide. Things have fallen into place, owing in large part to many of you. Aimee knows this because of everyone’s prayers and unwavering hope.
