Gene’s Story

Site created on December 27, 2018

Saturday, December 22nd Dad had a major stroke/right temporal lobe bleed. He is in Neuro ICU at UW-Madison Hospital.
Christmas Day we had a scare with his oxygen levels plummeting and almost needed to be put on a ventilator.
Today he is stable and has been more responsive. His bleed is stable and the doctors say he could be in ICU a couple of weeks.
Gretchen is also still recovering from pulmonary embolism following hip surgery. She is gaining strength and mobility slowly.
Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers for both of them during this difficult time.
