Thanksgiving, Christmas, the New Year holidays have come and gone. They were so hard without Mom & Dad.  So many firsts have passed.  After our mother passed away on July 5th, 2013, Dad's presence kept mom alive in a lot of ways, their home stayed pretty much the same and that seemed to help. The comfort in their possessions, I guess. 

We are fast approaching the anniversary of the day Dad had me take him to the hospital and I am constantly reliving it.  February 16th.  He was already feeling sick, but hadn't said much about it.  I can see it now as I remember back to early January. He seemed more tired. February 16th ... we lost him FIFTEEN days later.  

Tell your family that you love them.  Count your blessings.  All of our days are numbered.  We do not know if we will have tomorrow.
