Have not figured out the journaling thing, so will post a comment for now.
Gayle is home!!!!! She is so excited to be in her happy place. Being away from the “safety” of the hospital caregivers has actually been somewhat of an adjustment, but she is getting her sea legs under herself and doing well. Lots of adjusting to do!!
In review.... Gayle’s left lung is working , and in pretty good shape. The right lung is not. The hope is that the ongoing chemo, of which session #1 has been completed successfully, will cause shrinkage of tumors and slow , or stop, fluid production. Presently she is using oxygen, and has a drain for the lungs, which is doing it’s job . Fluid drainage is minimal. Session #2 of chemo will be Monday morning, along with labs and seeing her Oncologist.
Most of this first week home will be laying low and regrouping. Understanding her energy levels.
Thank you to all who are bringing food and coming to visit. Gayle continues to push forward and to heal. Everyone’s prayers are appreciated. Keep it coming!!

Spent the day with Gayle yesterday. Looks like she will have a few days to regroup and work on getting up and about. Taking things one day at a time!!
