Journal entry by Savannah Yarberry —
It’s a bittersweet day today for my family. My dad left this life and took his first steps on the golden streets of Heaven at 8:03am this morning. I know that he has been reunited with our loved ones and we will see him again one day.
I don’t understand why his time was now but I know he fought to stay with us an extra 10 days after his accident and we were so blessed to hear him say he loved each of us.
I could never ask for a better life than the one he provided us. He was a loving father to us kids, a devoted partner to my mom and a friend who would do anything. I will never forget the lessons of kindness, charity and responsibility that he taught me. I am my fathers’ daughter and I am so proud of how he lived his life. There is no doubt in my heart where he is today and I know he’s watching us and protecting us from above.
