OH, yes, Gary is still alive in our memories and stories as we remember, talk of him and his life and quote his phrases. ARE WE HAVING FUN YET? Is his legacy and a reminder of how to approach today and tomorrow. Spread love, not hate. Be so very positive no matter the situation. Smile and be hopeful!
We are sorry that we have not made it back to CO this summer. Paul and Laurie have come here instead. She is here right now to give us support and advice as we march further in years—as we suspect Gary would say:” you are not ‘growing older’ rather you are ‘growing new.’”
We love you all and keep you all close to our hearts.
Love,
Judy and Charles

I keep Gary’s memorial bulletin on our counter because he always makes me smile. Besides he loves the view! When he would come over to help us with whatever, he would walk in our home (which used to be their home) and say “Oh, that view”! Every time something happens and we need help, our first thought is “Where’s Gary “?
Sara, I loved your letter and quote👍💕

Gary's victory is won!! I know that hearts are broken, but Gary is on a wonderful new journey and a new beginning with the Lord. He is no longer sick and in pain....but perfect and whole again. I look at what a blessing your family has with pushing ONWARD. How blessed Sarah you are and fortunate to have the Dad and Mother you have had, but to also have been such a close friend with them both. You and Jan are an inspiration to show us how important it is to continue on with our lives. I am proud to call you friends. Jim

I can't believe it's been 6 months, either. I do the same things you mentioned, like thinking I should call Dad and tell him about something, and noting every Element we pass on the road. A friend at church just lost his wife after a year of suffering with stomach cancer, and I've been using my experience with Dad to support Mike as he attempts to adjust to a whole different life. I've been so thankful we have so many friends and family around to support US.

Just yesterday I was telling someone about Dad's "Be a Leader" motto. Kate had gone to a corporate meeting where they focused on building leadership skills in the employees, and she came home all fired up about being a leader. I said, "Grandpa would be proud!" She was really excited.

We're blessed to have spent so much time with such an incredible man. We're doing our best to honor him by being the things we loved most about him.

Ann
