Gary’s Story

Site created on September 4, 2018

To give you a quick rundown of what has been happening over the last 7 months: Gary had a total knee replacement back in February. A blood clot traveled to his heart and he had a massive heart attack, also known as the widow maker. Thank the Lord he was in the hospital when this happened. He was rushed into surgery and had a stent placed. He was placed in ICU for an extended amount of time, while there they found a blood clot in his lungs. He pushed through and became strong enough to finally go home after 3 weeks. As he continues to get stronger daily, we continue to pray and watch him go through extensive testing, procedures, another stent placed, & cardio rehab. He was told his ejection fraction of his heart was only at a 29,  normal being 50-70. More doctor appointments came and went and they came to the conclusion he needed an ICD defibrillator. Fast forward to Sept 4th and here we are, surgery yet again but he did awesome and is doing well! Thank you for any and all cares, concerns, & prayers!
