Gary’s Story

Site created on August 18, 2019

Gary was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in May of 2019. He is undergoing an esophagectomy on August 19th, 2019. We are creating this Caring Bridge as a place to keep family and friends informed. This is also a great way for you to show support through notes, prayers, and encouraging words. We want to thank each and every one of you for all your love and support. We are blessed with an incredible support system! Thank you for visiting.

There is no place like home!

Today, I was released from the hospital and will now be able to heal at home. Allina Home Care came to our house this afternoon to set up my 12 hour nutrition station to pump the needed nutrition my body requires. I will use this every night for the next 4 to 6 Weeks. I am hoping, very soon, that I will be able to progress to the next phase of adding to my diet; soft foods.
Debbie and I are so thankful and humbled for all of the prayers, love, and support received from each of you. It has been so encouraging to know that God’s church; all of you; have cared enough to follow our journey to date.  May God Bless each and every one of you.
All our Love,
Gary and Debbie
