On February 15 while at in a kickboxing class at PBAC, Gary experienced a head ache.  He was rushed to the Santa Maria medical center.  At this point he was still coherent and able to tell medical professionals his name.  After a few test it was determined that he need more specilized care.  Due to poor weather he was unable to be air lift and so was transported via ambulance an hour away to Santa Barbra Cottage hospital.  After more test and emergency surgery was completed to release preasure on the brain.  Gary experienced a brain  that miraculously clotted itself before reaching the first hospital.   The initial cause of this bleeding is unknown. Gary is in great physical shape and takes very good care of himself.  Doctors keep describing it as "bad luck".

Currently he is under 24 hour survalince in an induced coma.  There is expected to be some swelling occurring in the following days from the initial hemeroge.  To allow the swelling to go down without interference, he will continue to be sedated.  This is a day by process and he will be closely monitored for the weeks to come.

Please keep Gary and his family in your prayers.
