Gary’s Story

Site created on August 20, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  On Tuesday, August 18th, Gary woke up and something was off.  He was rushed to the hospital (luckily Faye is a fast driver) and admitted immediately.  It was diagnosed that he had suffered a Hemorrhagic stroke. This occurs when a small blood vessel in the brain bursts and leaks. Since his diagnosis, he was monitored, has stablized, and been moved out of the ICU.  Faye has been able to be with him in the hospital, and we are so very thankful that he is going to start rehabilitation . We are learning more about the road ahead with each day.  We appreciate your prayers, positive thoughts, support and words of encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Love, Faye, Amy & Anna

Gary (Dad) is HOME and had a relaxing day.  Everything went well, he had no problem with the steps getting into the house since he had practiced at Guardian Angels and was even treated to Arby’s. Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes we are very happy he can sleep in his own bed tonight.
